Courses at The Asphalt Academy
Module-based training for the bituminous-products industry — materials testing to SANS standards, bitumen safety, and joint programmes with industry partners.
The seven-module MTC structure
The Materials Testers Course is structured into seven modules, presented over a 24-month period or as required by industry. The seven modules deliver the theoretical component required to deem candidates competent. Modules are presented in partnership with Engineering 4.0 at the University of Pretoria, STRg at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and PGRL at Stellenbosch University. Module 4 (Concrete Testing) is presented by the Cement and Concrete School of Technology, and Module 7 (Nuclear Gauge Testing) by the SA Road Federation.
